Job Introduction

This new role within our Engineering and Facilities Team can be based at either of our Distribution Centres; our Head Office and DC in Liverpool, or our Southern DC in Amesbury, Wiltshire.

The Project Engineer manages and assists on projects within the TJ Morris Project Management Framework and engineering standards.

Projects include new equipment, equipment modifications and equipment overhauls.

Role Responsibility

  • Improve equipment availability within the DCs and closing out equipment non-compliance
  • Ensure all equipment documentation is up-to-date and provided to the operational engineering team
  • Assist Automation Engineers with certain enablers as part of Asset and Resource Management (ARMs)
  • Complete small controls changes and editing equipment electrical/mechanical drawings
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with legislation, good practice and Company standards

The Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret PLC software language (LAD/FBD and SCL)
  • Ability to work at height
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering
  • Experience working with automated material handling systems
  • Mechanical engineering experience and the ability to complete large overhauls of equipment
  • Eplan Basic Training
  • An understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
  • Experience using engineering design software (ePlan/CAD)
  • Siemens Pro 2 Programming (preferred)

Package Description

  • £49,443
  • Monday - Friday working 8am - 4pm
  • 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service
